About the Item

Murano blown glass candlestick composed of: four candle holders, eight leaves and four flowers with details in blue and light blue. The whole object measures 34x34x43 cm. Murano glass has a long history since Roman times. One of the important historical features, which make the pieces unique in the world, is the absolute uniqueness of the workmanship of these items, which are created exclusively in this area through peculiar processing techniques that have remained unchanged over the centuries. The technique of glassblowing involves transforming a shapeless mass of molten glass into a delicate, transparent object. By controlling the amount and direction of air and resorting to molds and tongs if necessary, the craftsman can make an almost infinite range of shapes. The state of preservation is excellent.
