Our pair of ormolu bronze candlesticks feature acanthus leaf nozzles emanating from Roman style military helmets with plumage, with reeded acanthus stems and laurel swags with shields, and are raised on stepped square bases with wreath motifs. Apparently unsigned. An exceptional pair of gilt candlesticks dating from the early 19th century.
