About the Item

This classic French alarm carriage clock was made by Delépine-Barrois and features a brass Cubique shaped case with rectangular top with folding handle over a beveled glass escapement aperture with four beveled glass sides held by plain columns and hinged rear door. The whole is on a plain straight base with bun feet. The dial is rectangular white enamel with black Arabic numerals with blued steel spade hands and alarm subsidiary dial. It has an eight day spring driven timepiece movement with going barrel for alarm and lever platform escapement. Backplate signed: ELEVEN JEWELS D. BARROIS FRANCE

    Wear consistent with age and use. Case in very good condition- needs servicing. Very small chip inside the bevel at 10 o'clock. Hard to see but you can feel it.
