Auguste-Joseph Carrier (French, 1800-1875) "Hephaestus" Patinated Bronze Mantel Clock, 19th century, the circular bronze dial, with movement strike on bell, signed "Cox Brothers, New York", the seated figure of the god of blacksmithing holding a hammer and a nail, on a grape vine entwined column, on a bowfront rectangular plinth, flanked by portrait roundels, signed. 24" H x 16" W x 9" D.
