Early 20th Century French Louis XV Hand Painted Faience Clock from Rouen

About the Item

This elegant antique clock would make an wonderful addition to a mantel, console, desk, or side table. Crafted in Rouen, France, circa 1920, the colorful mantel clock features a rich Rococo influence with a prominent shell motif crowning the top. The table clock is adorned with intricate, hand-painted floral patterns that flow gracefully across its surface, highlighting the vibrant, traditional colors of blue, red, and yellow. The elaborate design is accentuated by elegant scrollwork, giving the piece a sense of movement and opulence. The clock face, encircled by ornate detailing, adds to its antique charm. The intricate, detailed ceramic clock is in excellent condition commensurate age and use. The mechanism is in good working order and has been reviewed by a clock specialist, the time piece can run for about two days before it needs to be wound again. Measures: 5.5" W x 3.75" D x 9.75" H.
