Rare and wonderful antique clock from the early 1800s. Marked: S. Devaulx, Paris.
Having an impressive, stylish and sizable antique clock like this gracing your mantel piece or side table will instantly change the look and feel of the room she is in. Hand-crafted in the early 1800s this French work of time telling art is still in excellent condition and the shape and size make it perfect for putting it on display almost everywhere. The quality of the gilt bronze ornaments and the stunning earth angel sculpture are truly amazing. Kneeling down on one leg and in clearly in prayer this angel with the five pointed star on the forehead is a wonderful sight to see. Have you also noticed the stylish, arrow shaped arms on this clock. Apart from being beautiful they also make telling time easy, because they contrast perfectly against the silver colored dial face with the black Roman numerals. The eight day clock and striking mechanism both run very good also.
