About the Item

Gorgeous and mythical sculptural clock made of patinated and gilt bronze, depicting a young Bacchanalian faun wearing a leaf crown on his head and a grape leaf sash around his body. He is holding a drum-form clock which is marked "H. Moyson & Co.", and "Anvers" below. The piece is standing on a white marble base which also has bronze ball legs. Made in Belgium, 19th Century.
