French Antique Gilt Bronze Figural Empire Clock early 19th century

Exceptional quality bronze work with mercury gilding (ormolu) by unknown French maker of early 19th century – young shepherd delicately cradling a diminutive lamb, symbolizing pastoral serenity and harmony, monumental centerpiece is further adorned with two elegantly positioned sabers and a bagpipe, enhancing its narrative allure while. The design remains remarkably uncluttered, embodying an exclusive and stylish aesthetic tailored for discerning patrons of the time. Size app.: 31.3 cm (roughly 12.3 in) high, 29.5 cm (roughly 11.6 in) wide, 13 cm (roughly 5.1 in) deep. Very good condition, minor age and usage wear, gold finish very well preserved (front), movement is running only with pendulum off and not striking at all as needs service.
