Lucien "Luc" Lanel

As a skilled illustrator, he was also responsible for the company's advertisements. Together with the furniture designer Jules Leleu, he received various commissions for interiors and cruise ships. As early as 1928, he created various ceramics in collaboration with his wife Marjolaine Giradet. After the end of the Second World War, the couple concentrated almost exclusively on ceramic work. In addition to regular participation in the Paris Salons and other exhibitions at home and abroad, he also appeared at the Exposition Internationale des Art Décoratifs et Industriels in 1925, as well as at the 1937 Paris World's Fair. His most important creation was the “Odulations” collection and other iconic designs created for the First-Class dining room and the Grand Bar of the great ocean liner the S.S.
