Leather and Reptile Mexican Brass Trimmed Folding Blotter with Pockets
About the Item
A sophisticated and classic blotter made in Mexico. The piece is trimmed in solid brass with a leather framework and reptile / snake facing / folding flaps with pockets on the opposing side. A wonderfully decorative, yet functional piece for the important desk. The trim holds hinges that allow the middle flaps to open, revealing pocket on both sides, with one side featuring each day of the work week.
The wording on inside pockets is Spanish:
Lunes - Monday
Martes - Tuesday
Miercoles - Wednesday
Jueves - Thursday
Viernes - Friday
the back is lined in silk as is the blotter page - it does need a piece of blotter paper we can provide at sale.
