About the Item
This is a rare functional mid-century modern desk accessory or office waste-basket designed by Tomado, Holland, circa 1960. The oval shape features a light gray metal structure with a typical polychrome modernist design, incorporating exotic fish motifs in purple, pink, and red colors. The company logo is embossed on the underside.
This desk accessory is in its original, usable, and well-maintained condition. The inside looks clean. Some minor stains are visible, mainly in the bottom area. Three light dents are visible on the edge, and a fold line appears on the side depending on how the waste basket is exposed to the light. Check all the close-ups, particularly the one marked with the red arrow.
