About the Item

This blue resin soap dish, or change tray, called Blob and Andy by its creators, Migeon & Migeon, was created c. 1990. Signed “Migeon & Migeon” under the base. For a similar model : Anne Bony, Agnès Kentish, En Attendant les Barbares : Quatre décennies de design, Éditions du regard, p. 41. Behind the name Migeon & Migeon is the artist couple Marie-Thérèse and Christian Migeon. The duo first evolved as jewelry designers for Chanel before asserting themselves in the creation of translucent resin objects under the name Migeon & Migeon in the late 1980s. Their works, including the Bénazir candlestick, symbolize the design of the 1990s.
