About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown red and gold flecks Italian art glass decorative paperweight with label. The paperweight is very bright with high contrast and unique pattern. Looking from the top, it has a gorgeous star design. The rectangular red and gold label underneath reads "Vetro Artistico Veneziano - Hand Made Genuine Venetian Glass - Made In Murano Italy", and looks pretty much intact for its age (see last photos). It has a pulled feather or "Fenicio" design, profusely covered with heavy gold leaf throughout. The piece is actually hollow on the inside, but still has some weight to it. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Mid-century era. Measures 2 7/8" tall x 3 1/2" wide.
