Edwardian Classical sterling silver frame. Made by Clarence A. Vanderbilt in New York, ca 1910. Rectangular surround. On front engraved leafing scroll and shell ornament; sides plain with lunette-wrapped corners. With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged easel support for portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) picture. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 308.
