Late 19th Century Renaissance Revival period hand-carved walnut oval picture or mirror frame, France.
This adorable antique French picture or mirror light brown walnut frame features an oval-shaped body, adorned with stunning finely carved details - with foliate decors; a face mask on top and a pair of phoenix birds on each side, and a fruit bouquet on the bottom.
France, circa 1890.
Dimensions: height: 33 cm / 13 in; width: 21.5 cm / 8.46 in; depth: 3 cm / 1.18 in.
In good antique, age-appropriate condition, with a small part missing - the nose of the bird, image #5; smaller missing flakes to the foliate elements, otherwise, wear indicative of age and use.
