About the Item
A high quality and most unique set of four French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu picture frames. Each most stunning hinged picture frame is decorated with an inner Rais-de-Coeur border before a wider frame decorated with ribbon tied scrolling vines ending in floral bouquets and beaded details. Each frame is centered at the top by a laurel wreath with a crossed torch of the eternal flame and quiver, and is bordered by a beaded trim. Each frame is linked to the next by hinges, and displays a decorative panel between the 1st and 2nd frames, as well as between the 3rd and 4th, featuring foliate chandelles and rosette details.
