About the Item
The collection consists of 21 chess sets, each crafted by hand with a combination of techniques. The manufacturing process involves fine-detailed 3D printing from photopolymer plastic, molding, sculpting, polymer casting with manual processing of objects and acrylic paint detailing. Each set is embedded with an NFC chip — a digital certificate that validates, authenticates, and records the artwork’s ownership and provenance. The materials include metal, plastic, acrylic and silicone.
Another Kingdom: Dichotomy is the next chapter of the chess series set in the Yoomoota art universe. The Star of Dichotomy is a wandering celestial body that drifts through space, occasionally eclipsing the light and causing temporary darkness. Any world that falls under its influence turns black and white—both in appearance and in essence. Just as the human psyche is a battleground of opposing forces—light and darkness, good and evil—so too does this satellite impose absolute dichotomy upon the planet’s existence.
The Another Kingdom collectible chess set represents an allegorical clash between two realms. The Dichotomy limited edition embodies a battle that begins in the familiar world, rich with nuance, but unfolds under the conditions of absolute duality, where actions, emotions, and even the laws of physics adhere to a strict binary order. Here, there is no room for doubt, compromise, complex motivations, or shades of gray—only pure opposition. Every move, every decision, every turn of the chess game is now dictated by an immutable law: light or darkness, nothing in between.
