Short STACKED Asymmetric Walnut Vessel, by Richard Haining, Available Now

About the Item

The beauty of Richard’s signature STACKED style is based entirely in the process. This Vessel, as with every STACKED object Richard creates is built, sculpted, and finished entirely by hand. Imagine an analog version of 3-D printing, or coil pottery. The desired profile is defined during the building process. Piece by individual piece, layer upon layer, he additively sculpts each form, controlling both the wall thickness as well as the profile. Once constructed, Richard refines the exterior using a variety of hand held tools, resulting in a finely honed quality with subtle undulations very similar to that of hand built ceramics. Additional images can be made available upon request.
