This Ancient Cypriot Ceramic Sculpture of a Horse on Wood Plinth Base originates from Cyprus during the 4th Century BCE. The sculpture has an alluring dynamic and many details remain in tact, such as uniquely bold sculptural detailing around the neck of the horse, perhaps depicting a bridal or decorative wear, with dynamic curvatures and an elongated regal posture, with subtle remnants of the saddle visible on either side of the horse. A lovely piece with an incredible sense of history and timeless appeal, this sculpture will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Classical to the Contemporary.
