Antônio Julião. Wood Sculpture

About the Item

Exceptional sculpture made by artist Antônio Julião, one of the great exponents of Brazilian popular art. This piece of museological importance was made in the 1970's and is one of the richest sculptures made by said artist, where he generously sculptured several tropical animals such as monkeys, jaguars, birds and snakes. There is also a nest of joão-de-barro (Rufous hornero), an endemic Brazilian bird. This piece has big dimensions, at almost one meter height. Brazil, 1970's.
