Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Swedish-Finnish ceramicist and designer, best known for his role as artistic director at Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955. At Rörstrand, he modernized the company’s aesthetic, introducing matte "hare’s fur" glazes and sculptural forms that became hallmarks of the era. Nylund designed both unique studio pieces and mass-produced lines, blending functionality with elegant Nordic style. Today, his works are highly sought after by collectors.
