Rare Vintage Colorful Polychrome Majolica Ceramic Parrot or Cockatoo by Stangl

A tall bright ceramic bird sculpture in the style of Meissen. Glazed in blue, green, orange and brown polychrome, this large bird sculpture will be a wonderful accent to a bookshelf or credenza. He has a tall feathered plume of feathers which is glazed in orange atop his head. He is sitting perched on a brown tree stump, which has leaves protruding out the front and sides. From behind, he displays his bright blue feathers that are glazed in a bright blue polychrome. The underside has no markings, and features three round green felt pads to protect surfaces.
