20th Century French Bronze Golf Sculpture on Marble Base Signed M.Y. Bourbon

About the Item

The bronze golf sculpture was created in Paris France and "Made by Susse Fondeurs", circa 1989. Set on a polished rectangular marble base, the sculpture features two hands intricately detailed with realistic textures, gripping a long golf club shaft. The club extends upward in a dramatic, sweeping motion, evoking the energy and anticipation of an impending golf swing. Originally used as a trophy for golf tournaments, the marble base includes a bronze plate inscribed with the names of past winners. The sculpture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with a rich patinated bronze finish that adds to its timeless appeal. It would make a wonderful addition to any golf enthusiasts home or it could used as a trophy once again for a country club. The piece is further signed by the artist M.Y. Bourbon. A must for any avid golfer! Susse Fondeurs Paris is one of the oldest and most prestigious bronze foundries in France, established in the early 19th century. Known for working with renowned artists, the foundry produced high-quality bronze sculptures, contributing significantly to the art world, especially during the 19th and 20th centuries.
