Vintage Jose Dunach Bronze Lady Golf Figure.
A very nice French Art Deco style sculpture of a lady golfer mounted on a round naturalistic base, the golfer is in a full follow through position. This bronze statue has a gilt finish with a wonderful colour and patina. The circular base stamped / signed 'J Dunach' together with the letters 'JD' to the underneath.
Jose Dunach (1886-1957) was born in Barcelona and later moved to Paris. He was renowned for his bronzes of dancers and sportsmen and exhibited in numerous Paris Salons.

This stylish golfer in his 1920s golf outfit is an absolute joy to own and look at. Apart from the curved body posture the artist has managed to capture most of the details that one would expect when a good golf player strikes a ball with a small wood.
