About the Item

A Late 19th french verdigris bronze group of Arab Hunter on Horseback. Cast from the model by Alfred Barye and Emile Guillemin, Late 19th Century, wearing elaborate costume and with his catch slung across the back of the horse, on a naturalistic base inscribed Barye. Scupture is 10.5" height. Plinth is 9.75"W x 5.25"D x .75" H. Bronze is 7.5"W x 3.5"D x 10"H Overall, the sculpture is 9.75" W x 5.25"D x 10.5"H Scupture was Sold by Sotheby on 6/21/1991 Lot # 96
