This bronze sculpture depicts a young boy playing hunter Kamarad. He stands holding a rifle casually on his left shoulder, while his right hand firmly grasps the neck of a wild beast. The figures are finished in a bright golden patina.
Signed 'G. Flamand', the french impressionist and modern sculptor Georges Flamand created this dynamic figural group in the early 20th century, Belle Époque style. Flamand, who worked in France during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was known for his bronze sculptures featuring figures in patinated and gilt bronze.
