About the Item
A spectacular one-of-a-kind exquisite handcrafted hanging sculpture depicting a figure and a dolphin by well-known Cranbrook Studio artist Carolyn Dulin. Signed by the artist. This sculpture comes in a wonderful turquoise color glaze finish with intricate modernist details. Carolyn Dulin is a ceramist and graduate of the distinguished Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Dulin graduated with a fine arts degree in the 1960's. Since then her work has been in exhibitions, galleries. She has won prizes at Michigan Ceramics, Pewabic Pottery, the Ann Arbor Street Fair. She was commissioned for a wall piece in the Oakland Township Hall in Michigan. Many of her works can be seen today at Pewabic Pottery, the Detroit Institute of Art, and Flint Institute of Art. Dimensions: 13"w x 7"d x x 29"h (sculpture) 52.25"h (total with wire). In very good condition.

A note about the artist: Anne Van Kleeck was primarily known for her works in cast bronze and ceramics. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University (B.A.) and Ohio State University (M.A.) and spent several years as a professor of art in Ohio and Florida.
