Standing horse figure carved from natural Colombian emerald.
This is a fabulous sculptural figure carved in one single piece of natural Colombian emerald, depicting a standing horse. The whimsical piece is very well carved showing nice face details and the musculature lines of the body. The emerald sculpture has a total weight of four-thousands-five-hundreds-thirty-one carats and has great green saturation.
Provenance: Bocaya Emeralds Mines.
Country: Bogota, Colombia.
Period: Modernism, 1980.
Gemstone: Natural Emerald.
Birthstone: Emerald for the month of May.
Weight: 4531 Carats or 906.20 Grams.
