This "Art Deco" piece made of ceramic, colored in soft and light tones of white, beige, yellow. The base is in black.
A ballet dancer in her stage dress and pointe shoes in a classic pose with a wide flowing skirt that she carries with both hands.
Ceramic, colored glazed, model number 1445, stamped triangular mark with Keramos, Viennese art ceramics "Keramos" and Made in Austria, height approx. 31 cm, craquelure, literature: Matschiner, Keramos, 2010, p. 451
The sculpture is reminiscent of the work of Goldscheider Vienna porcelain figure "Walzer"

Depiction of a dancer in Spanish costume: she wears a mantilla, a veil cloth that covers the head and neck down to the shoulders. Often, as here, a high comb is also tucked underneath, the peineta. The cloth is still worn today for festive costumes and is mostly made in lace technique. In addition, the dancer wears an elaborately decorated with floral patterns asymmetrical ruffled skirt.
On oval, black-beige marbled base in rare execution.
