French 19th Century Belle Époque Period Patinated Bronze Statue

About the Item

A stunning and high quality French 19th century Belle Époque period patinated bronze statue of a man dancing and playing a mandolin. The statue is raised by a circular base with a terrain design where the charming young man is dancing. He is wearing wonderfully executed flowing shorts and a beautiful hat with richly chased and finely detailed flowers. He holds his mandolin in is left hand which displays a lovely strap with fine foliate patterns and has a charming plectrum in his right hand. Impressive proportions and wonderful attention to detail throughout.
