A pair of late 19th century French Henriot Quimper faience statues, or figurines, of Perrik and Soisik. Polychrome enameled earthenware, hand-painted in green, yellow, blue and red. These Breton figurines are part of a tradition of portraying charming, rustic peasant figures in Quimper pottery. In Breton culture, Perrik and Soisik are traditional given names, reflecting the historical influence of names derived from Latin and Celtic roots in the region. Names at the base and marked underneath: HenRiot Quimper. In good condition. Circa 1920s
