French Art Deco Walkyrie sculpture by Henri MOLINS-BALLESTE, France, ca.1920. Spelter, marble and onyx. Width : 21.3"(54cm), Height : 14"(35.7cm), Depth: 5.1"(13cm). Engraved "Balleste" on the base (see photo). Very good condition with some small bites on edges.
Enrique (Henri) Molins-Balleste was born in Barcelona, a Spanish artist who later moved to Paris. He used either Molins or Balleste to sign his pieces. Some same figures are signed Molinsor Balleste. Famous for his theatrical and genre groups and figural lighting. Also made many sculptures using wood as the medium.

Josef Lorenzl (1 September 1892 – 15 August 1950) was an Austrian sculptor and ceramicist of the Art Deco period, the same era as Ferdinand Preiss (1882–1943) and Demetre Chiparus (1886–1947).
Lorenzl was born on 1 September 1882 in Vienna, Austria and died there on 15 August 1950. Little is known about his early years, but more is known about his later life.
