The statue is raised by elegant ormolu bun feet below the rectangular Gris St. Anne marble base. The statue above depicts a young boy lying on a bed and leaning on a globe with his wonderfully executed blanket in one hand and holding a book in the other with richly carved carpenter's square and club by his side.
