A beautiful depiction of the Roman goddess, Flora (her Greek counterpart is Chloris), this hand-carved Italian limestone statue depicts the youthful deity sitting on a tree stump, with a basket of flowers on her knee. Despite her being a minor figure in mythology, Flora is associated with Spring, youthfulness, and fertility, making her an important goddess nonetheless. The figure is accompanied by a circular stone pedestal that gives the entire sculpture a height of 75 inches.
