Old wooden sculpture by an unknown artist from Japan

About the Item

This is a very old wooden sculpture. No details are known, but it was found in Japan. It appears to be based on a European female figure. So it is estimated to have been made after the Meiji period (1868-) in Japan. (But that is just an estimate.) The wood has an atmosphere that is hard to find anywhere else due to its long age. The atmosphere is unique and very nice. It is about 1m tall and is an object with a strong presence. It is quite difficult to obtain. Weight: 16kg [Brood is a company consisting of 4 different stores and 4 different brands. We have a wide range of attractive items from all over the world, with a focus on Japanese items. We have a selection of Japanese antique furniture and tools that are different from the Japanese antique furniture and art that are highly valued overseas. These tools were once used in private homes and farmhouses. After many years, they have a charming flavor. Currently, many of these are discarded when houses are demolished. We have a mission to reevaluate these fascinating old items and preserve them for future generations. And so far we have seen tens of thousands of items. Using that experience, we have compiled a list of the most fascinating items here. Our many years of experience make it possible for us to rediscover the "beauty" that was born in the lives and culture of ordinary people, which is different from the Japanese art and culture scattered around the world, and share it with the world.
