About the Item

A stunning and extremely decorative true pair of Italian 18th century Baroque period giltwood statues. Each statue is raised by a rectangular ground like designed base where the charming cherubs stand. Each is draped in wonderfully executed flowing fabrics with superb attention to detail throughout. They hold their fabrics with one hand while the other hand holds a beautiful basket with richly carved abundant overflowing fruit and flowers above their heads. All original gilt throughout.
