About the Item

An impressive and most charming true pair of Italian 18th century Baroque st. faux painted marble and Giltwood statues. Both of the joyful statues are raised on hexagonal tapered faux painted marble pedestals with bands of Giltwood accenting the edges. Above the pedestal is a beautiful and intricately carved circular socle with 'S' scrolled acanthus leaves. Atop the supports are winged cherubs adorned with a fine flowing ribbon and open butterfly wings coming from their backs. Wonderful attention to detail throughout and palatially scaled.
