About the Item

This is a pair of jaw dropping hand carved angles. Each figure is carved with an individual face and pose. Removed from a Church in Europe and brought to the States in the 1990's. They both sit on custom box platforms. they stand almost 7 ft high to the top of the wings. Both are majestic and emotionally moving. Carved by a master woodworker by hand with old world tools and precision. They are hollow which helps with the weight and transport. The wings are all four removable. The faces and robes show signs of the original paint. These are extremely special figures, acquired from an exclusive private collection they are available to you for as long as they last. Repaired: The wings have been fitted with modern brackets to make them removable for transport. You can see the original holes from how the original wings were attached. Wear consistent with age and use.
