About the Item
A fabulous pair of architectural Art Deco figures, probably solid bronze, the woman with a water jug, and the man with stonecutter’s tools, each with flowing robes behind them, loosely pin mounted to stone plinths. Purportedly acquired from a balcony in Chicago, circa 1925, in very good overall condition, with great surface verdigris, minor imperfections and wear commensurate with exterior age and use. The plinths show some wear and minor losses. Dimensions: Woman: Figure: 22.38 in H x 21.75 x 1.25 in D; Plinth: 1 in H x 20.25 in W x 12.63 in D; Man: Figure: 22.88 in H x 21.5 in W x 1.63 in D; Plinth: 1.25 in H x 20.25 in W x 13.5 in D.
