Rare Early XL 1950s Arne Tjomsland Teak Polar Bear Sculpture Norway Mid-Century

About the Item

Very rare early version of the LARGE (full grown) Polar Bear Sculpture by Arne Tjomsland, who was a Norwegian sculptor in the Scandinavian modern golden age, or Mid-Century Modern Era. This was produced by Goodwill Produkter A/S Sandefjord, in Norway. Highly coveted and rare to see this larger of the series of bear figures without the drilled out bottom to lower weight for export. Last image shows this large bear next to the smaller cub size in the series, cub not included. L: 14 in. Solid Teak weight: 2 lbs 13.4 oz.
