Roland Reiss, 1929- 2020. The Dancing Lessons: Spiritual Communication on the Physical Plane, 1977. Mixed Media Diorama in a Lucite Case. Signed and titled in pencil lower left and right edge.
The Dancing Lessons series present comment on Parents living vicariously through their children who are forced to perform. Reiss' daughter was a professional dancer!
In very nice original condition with one crack to back of lucite box where screw was put in too tight. Diorama is made up of hand-built chairs, pianos, coffee cup, magazine, newspaper, plants, camera, french fries, purse, ashtray, radio, cake, cigarettes, and glass of water. Radio is plugged into a floor socket! Very beautifully done with great attention to detail!
