Amazing antique expertly hand-carved wood block that has been used in printing production. Stained dark black with ink, this now rustic piece shows signs of years of handling, while still being stunningly beautiful as a textural, sculptural object. Highly ornamental with a main floral motif, possibly roses or another flower, along with a detailed border in a repeating tear drop pattern, this would have been one of many layers stamped to a fabric during the traditional printing process to create a whole image.
