Curtis Jere which is not a single artist but is a nom-de-plume for a group of artists working for Artisan House and well known for their phenomenal jewelry, metal sculptures, and collectibles. And this abstract rearing horse is a perfect example of their remarkable pieces!! Unlike other rearing horse sculptures, this one has a single back and front leg… it appears to have been cast this way and we think he is extraordinary. Fabulous antique replica spelter detailed sculptures of the Marly rearing horse and groom original stone sculptures by Guillaume Coustou. These replica sculptures were extremely popular in the Victorian era and were done by many artists. This pair is in wonderful antique condition with no outstanding flaws we have detected.
