7.5" Alethopteris Species Natural Tree Fern Fossil Specimen, 305 million yrs old apx.
This plant fossil specimen is unique and subtantial. In addition to the two large fern leaf fossil impressions, the slab itself is chunky and layered, making it a strong, impressive addition to your space. Colors occurred naturally over time through the mineralization process.. The fossil has been lightly sealed to help preserve it.
Since this is a prehistoric fossil it will show its age (of course!) potentially such as cracks, pits, etc. We do our best to find the nicest possible items with the least bothersome imperfections. We really like this one.
