About the Item
A large sculptural blue sodalite granite specimen with a polished face and a roughly shaped ‘live’ edge. At 56cm in height, this rare, large sized mineral is spectacular in scale, becoming a focal point of a sideboard or collectors cabinet. The face is polished, bringing out the beauty of its rich blue colour with an almost spotted appearance.
Formed over millions of years, sodalite typically varies in colour, ranging from vibrant blues to softer greys. It was first discovered in the 19th century.
