We are delighted to offer this stunning pair of fully polished limestone circa 395-million-year-old Fossilized Orthoceras statues Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, Orthoceras ("straight horn") is a genus of extinct nautiloid cephalopod restricted to Middle Ordovician-aged marine limestones of the Baltic States and Sweden. These are some of the most decorative pieces I have ever seen, I’m quite tall and these come up to way passed my knee, they are very large solid pieces that looks simply amazing anywhere you put them They are used and have some chips here and there, mostly they are in very fine order indeed Dimensions Height:- 79cm & 72.5cm Width:- 19cm & 22.5cm Depth:- 20cm & 18cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses RH20 1DF. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.

This exquisite fossil diptych features one Diplomystus dentatus and four Cockerellites liops (formerly known as Priscacara). These fish are all Eocene era fossils dating back about 50 million years. The ancient fish are forever preserved in a sculptural matrix of fossil-bearing limestone. Each panel in the diptych measures approximately 1 foot x 2.7 feet.
