About the Item

Limestone sphere called Lumachella from the characteristic precious and rich presence of fossils. Slugs originate from sedimentation of organic remains of shells, ammonites and plant organisms. Diameter 12.5 cm - 5 inch The name Lumachella was given by Roman stonemasons during the Renaissance to denote a type of fossil-rich rock composed of shells of mollusks and snails.
