About the Item

Decorative Bottle in Murano Glass with Gold Leaf Frets Venice Italy 1970s Entirely handcrafted in the 1970s in Murano, the Venetian island famous for its unrivalled glass tradition, this fine decorative bottle is the result of the finest blown glass technique, as it can be seen from its unique shape made from a round thin bottomed body, which reveals the excellent craftsmanship. The bottle stands out especially for its delicate and precious gold leaf decoration, which gives it a translucent glow that becomes more intense toward the base and in the cap. Also the round cap is made of clear glass and gold leaf like the rest of the bottle, and is decorated on the top with a small sphere in intense gold leaf. Lastly, the two frets that decorate the thinner sides of the bottle represent a unique detail, made by twisted glass enriched by a multitude of submerged gold leaf drops. This collector’s bottle, thanks to its fine elegance, it’s a classical for any décor. As documented in the attached pictures the bottle is original in all its parts and in excellent conditions.
