About the Item

French art deco perfume bottle designed by Victor Leneuf (1885-1935). Beautiful perfume flask bottle, created in Paris France during the art deco period, back in the 1925. Crafted at the workshop of Victor Leneuf, with very elegant geometric zig zag patterns in cut glass and .950/.999 sterling silver. The lid has the shape of a perfect cube and is decorated with applications of black hot enamel. Weight: 202.60 Grams, (129.87 Dwt). Measurements: 63.5 mm by 40.64 mm by 100 mm (2.50 x 1.60 x 3.94 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks, the mark of the Minerva helmeted portrait inside an octagonal cartouche (Osprey-133) for the assay and warranty of the 95% silver and the maker's mark of VL inside a lozange cartouche associated to the workshop of Victor Leneuf. Victor Leneuf Was a Parisian jeweler and goldsmith. He succeeds the silversmith Edmond Zeihen and the workshop was located at 15, Rue du Poitou in Paris. He has his maker's mark registered in 1885. He produces cutlery and silverware such as cutting, salad, fish, hors d'oeuvre, oyster forks, fish trowels. It specializes in Russian-style coffee spoons, table, dessert and cheese knives, sugar tongs and spoons, strawberries, jams and other variants, salt shakers, mustard cups and egg cups. He also makes scent bottles, flasks, boxes composed for gifts and works for France and abroad. Condition: The overall condition of this piece is very good. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. This perfume bottle has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
