About the Item

This glazed ceramic jug was produced by the Belgian faience manufacturer Boch Frères Keramis in the late 19th century. The abstract painted pattern in blue and red was inspired by the Fine pottery pieces produced in Japan. The slightly blurred effect is mesmerizing. The jug was most likely produced as part of a tableware set, however due to the shape it would also perfectly double as a modern vase. Stamped with the 'Boch Frères Keramis' stamp and inscripted '1H'.
